Happy Holidays and Goodbye 2020
Happy Holidays Everyone. I don’t know about you but I’m ready to say goodbye to 2020! What a crazy year it has been. 2020. Pandemic, Unemployment, Political unrest and so many weird and unusual news stories. I am very thankful for so many things this year. At the start of the pandemic and throughout the summer, I was volunteering with a Philly Nonprofit to deliver food to some of Philly’s most vulnerable populations. This gave me a chance to give back and to do something good as I looked for a job. I shared my sourdough starter process and an introduction to canning and so many of my favorite canning recipes. My summer was full of canning fruit jams and tomato sauce. I postponed my May wedding to October and then postponed again, I refuse to be the reason someone gets sick.
After a long bout of unemployment, I was able to start a new job that I really like. The new job has made it hard to keep up with posting but I’m working on a better plan for 2021. I’m grateful for the 50+ recipes that I created and posted this year. And I look forward to more next year. I can’t wait to share the new things I’ve learned how to do (like soap and candle making) and expand on some recipes I’ve shared.
2021 will be a better year. We’ll still be dealing with the Pandemic but we know what we’re dealing with now and things are getting better. I want to wish you and your family a healthy New Year and a festive holiday season.
Happy Holidays and Goodbye 2020. See you in 2021.
